Sonic the Hedgehog returns in an all-new frantic adventure complete with dizzying dives, near vertical curves and brain twisting loops. SEGA’s Sonic Rush Adventure, seamlessly utilises both screens of the Nintendo DS to navigate the high seas in search of pirate treasure, delivering Sonic’s classic high-speed 2D gameplay in the ultimate Sonic handheld experience.

Nintendo DS

The sequel to SEGA’s critically acclaimed Sonic Rush retains all the DS action that fans experienced in the much-loved original - and adds a whole host of new features.

Players set off from Windmill Village as Sonic and blast, bounce, fly, swing, ride and run through seven action-packed and widely diverse levels. The detailed environments including lush forests, an ominous ghost ship, snow covered mountains, pirate villages and a vast underwater sea cave play host to a variety of enemy characters including skeleton warriors, pterodactyls, and a robotic triceratops. New for Sonic Rush Adventure is the ‘high seas’ stage where Sonic takes over the Ocean in five different ships, including a submarine and water bike, allowing players to take advantage of the Touch Screen and Stylus technology in exciting new ways. At the end of each level, epic 3D boss battles spanning both screens will test the gamer’s skills culminating in the ultimate showdown with Sonic’s nemesis, the evil Captain Whisker.

Sonic Rush Adventure also boasts DS Download Play feature and Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, which enables gamers to compete with friends in wireless racing and mission-based battles.

As one of the most famous and well-loved characters in gaming history, Sonic appeals to kids and nostalgic grown-ups alike and the latest episode in his adventures is certain to excite fans – both old and new.

Sonic Rush Adventure (RRP £29.99) is available now, exclusively on the Nintendo DS. It is suitable for players aged 3 years and up making it an ideal Christmas present for all the family.
